Diamond Build is highly committed to training and developing all staff in order to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all resources and to achieve its planned business goals. The aim is to improve the performance of the business, of teams and of individuals, by ensuring that everyone has the right and opportunity to develop his/her knowledge, skills and competences as needed for the work. We are committed to the principles of a learning organisation whereby we actively encourage everyone to take responsibility for their own development. In return we offer support for people to identify their own needs and assist them to fulfil their potential thereby maximising both personal growth and contribution to the company; All staff are eligible for training and training needs are identified during annual performance reviews in agreement with line management. Each year we submit a company wide training plan to the CITB outlining our proposed training for all employees throughout the year, training courses can be arranged for all areas, ie, health & safety updates, vocational training to help our employees convert their experience into a formal, widely recognised qualification as well as more structured training courses to help our employees achieve membership to the professional bodies associated with their chosen profession, eg, Chartered Institute of Personal and Development, Association of Accounting Technicians. We also operate a Training Partnership with the CIOB, encouraging membership and professional upgrades through the CIOB’s Professional Development Programme. We are accredited ‘Investors In People’ and use the IIP process to develop the potential of all of our employees. There are many different types of opportunity and ways to develop at Diamond Build. Among our more formal training schemes are the Trade Apprenticeships and Management Training Programme. |
